Hello and welcome!
My name is Joe and I was about 80 pounds
overweight by the time I was 26 years old. I had
to admit that I had become obese. It even became
a lot worse when my BMI hit 34 but I still did
not consider dieting or slimming down. So what
got me going? (Answer Here)
It didn't take that long before I had heard,
seen and felt them all. (You know, the remarks,
the looks and the peer pressure) You also
probably have heard them and I named this site
after their favorite slogan: "you eat it, you
wear it". In some countries, there is a
variation of the same theme that goes: every
pound goes in through the mouth. Of course, I
didn't like myself any more because I felt that
there was some wisdom in these slogans. I
started feeling like it was my own fault, yet
there it was, I did not know or even understand
why. Yet, I managed to crack this problem.
I lost my 120+ pounds overweight over a period
of two years by combining a diet of sheer
stubborn will power, consistent daily sport, a
lot of mumbling and self motivation and without
any other outside help, except for a few books,
which I bought along the way. This is about 22
years ago and it's 2008 by the time I'm writing
this, so do the math to calculate my age.
Oh, and I gradually ate a lot less, it needs to
be said. I even went as far as losing too much
weight, so when my loved ones started nagging me
about the dangers of anorexia and how ugly my
skinny frame had become, I took it upon myself
to start enjoying my food a little more than I
used to and put some weight back on the bones.
I travelled the world and saw many places, so
when I lost my job in 1999, I went down a road
many had to take before me: redundancy and
recycling. Then I bought a computer and became
passionate about the Internet. I decided to
become a work from home internet marketer and
started climbing the learning curve.
This website is for all fat or obese people who
want to gain a little more insight in their
condition and want to set out on the path to
losing weight. I managed to get a grip on the
overweight problem, but it wasn't always easy. I
am sorry to have to exclude people with health
related overweight problems as I am not an MD.
I've written a three day course about my diet
and I'll send it to you by email if you want it,
but I have to warn you, it is not for the faint
hearted. I only charge 19$ for it, and in
return, I'm willing to help if you have
questions.
The help is only available by email, I don't do
personal training or coaching. The course is
about what you can do yourself to get a grip on
an overweight problem, if you want to lose fat
and if you are really motivated to do something
about it.
I don't reply to health related problems that
create the condition of overweight, first of
all, because I did not train to be a doctor,
second, I do not want to end up in jail or
getting sued.
I dislike so called "gurus", mind manipulators,
hype, spammers, scammers and I don't like snake
oil peddlers. These types prey upon the weak and
that's below the belt, a tactic for which
nothing honorable can be said.
I guess these people also have a function for
which we should be thankful, although my thanks
will only be heard as a grumble: by hitting hard
and mercilessly, they sooner or later force
sleepers to wake up, get out of their stupor and
start doing something about their situation.
Whatever you do, try to remain present in the
here now (Thank you Eckhart Tolle) and don't let
yourself be bullied by your own emotions. Get a
grip! You can get rid of an obesity problem if
you are determined enough to do what it takes.
Its not rocket science, I know from experience.
May favorable winds always fill your sails.
Your ex-obese and now quite slim Webmaster. |
